BAMS™ Assays

BAMS™ (Bead-Assisted Mass Spectrometry) is a novel immuno-affinity assay platform for targeted protein analysis. The assay is configured as an antibody bead array that uses single bead affinity enrichment and single bead detection by MALDI TOF MS for multiplex protein analysis to simultaneous monitor cellular proteins (total and post-translational modifications). BAMS™ assays utilize antibody-conjugated magnetic beads for parallel enrichment of multiple protein targets to enable multiplexed analysis (1 to 1000’s) of target protein in a single assay.

The silicone gaskets attached to the ITO-coated microscope slides contain over 2,200 wells for arraying reacted beads and measuring the bead-captured targets by MALDI Mass Spectrometry. The multi-chamber frames subdivide the slides into smaller sections for screening multiple samples. The stainless steel spring clips secure the frames position on the slides. Each of the BAMS™ Slide Trays accommodates three slides. BAMS™ Slide Trays have a standard microtiter plate footprint for automated processing and centrifugation.
